Who works with PTB at your company, and for what?
Christian Koch: The project managers and the construction project management work with PlanToBuild to handle the construction itself, for the documentation and to monitor the deadlines – and the management to keep up to date with the projects. In the near future we also want to involve more and more employees via the app. This will also apply to our customers in the future.
How long have you been using PTB?
Christian Koch: Since autumn 2018, we were one of the early birds
Have you used project management software before?
Christian Koch: Yes, we did. A classic system, but it was not suitable for multi-project use – and was also not construction-specific.
What problems did you have without the use of PTB?
Christian Koch: We have partially assumed risks related to obstructions that we should not have taken on. With PlanToBuild we now have guidelines in the documentation that show us the legal framework on the one hand, and on the other hand we generally minimize risks because we can see much faster where the respective project is at the moment.

What has improved through the use of PTB?
Christian Koch: A lot. Multi project management is great because I can see which milestones are taking which project. I can include claims and changes in schedules - and also present them to the customer. The same applies to the documentation: In the event of a legal dispute, all the facts are stored there in a central location, which you can also present to a lawyer or expert. In general, working anywhere with the software, whether in the office, on the construction site or on the go, is a great asset.
Do you have a favorite function?
Christian Koch: What I like best is the connection to the legal framework. For those who travel a lot in contract law this is an enormous help.
If you had one wish for free ...
Christian Koch: I would like to not only be able to create the obstruction notice, but also send it directly with proof of delivery. If I had a second wish, I would also like the document management system to be connected to my own server – and not only in the cloud as presently.
